Amaranth Seeds (Amaranthus) - Diane's Flower Seeds
Amaranth 'Autumn Palette'
(Amaranthus paniculatus)

1600 seeds   $2.50
Amaranth 'Autumn Palette' is a mix of tall, vigorous plants with flowering plumes in a wide range of colors from pale green through creamy tan to orange-brown. It makes an impression when massed in a large grouping.

Autumn Palette amaranth begins blooming relatively early, and the flowers gradually deepen in color as autumn nears.

With its large heads and plentiful seeds, Amaranth 'Autumn Palette' is a good variety for growing as a cereal grain.

Amaranth Golden Giant
Amaranth 'Golden Giant'
(Amaranthus cruentus)

1600 seeds   $2.50
Amaranth 'Golden Giant' is a nutritious grain - high in protein and gluten-free. It's also an attractive ornamental. The large plumes of golden-brown flowers bloom from mid summer to fall, and the ripening seeds attract flocks of birds.

Golden Giant amaranth is a heavy producer of delicious, white seeds. This is probably the best amaranth for grain production for home gardeners.

Also known as Amaranthus hypochondriacus. 98-110 days to maturity.

Amaranth 'Hopi Red Dye' is a beautiful annual with dark, purplish-red leaves and burgundy-red flowers. It looks terrific at the back of the border. Pictures can't do justice to this wonderful plant.

Hopi Red Dye amaranth is a famous heirloom. It has shiny black seeds that can be cooked for cereal or ground into a gluten-free flour. The tender, young leaves of this variety are my favorite for adding to soups.
